We are pleased to announce the “Building Upon the EarthCube Community: A Geoscience and Cyberinfrastructure Workshop” to be held in Marina Del Rey (Los Angeles), CA, June 27-28th 2023. The workshop will consist of two days of science talks, posters, and demonstrations related to cyberinfrastructure in the geosciences. Please visit the [workshop website](https://isi-usc-edu.github.io/building-upon-the-earthcube-community/#about) for the schedule and other workshop details.

We invite [abstract submission](https://isi-usc-edu.github.io/building-upon-the-earthcube-community/program) for talks, posters, demonstrations (including notebooks), and working sessions. Abstract submission closes on April 21st.

Participation from early-career scientists and members of underrepresented groups in the computer and geosciences is particularly encouraged. To promote their participation, ~20 [early-career travel awards](https://isi-usc-edu.github.io/building-upon-the-earthcube-community/registration#travelawards) will be awarded. Applications for these awards are due April 21st.
