Dear LinkedEarth Community,

On behalf of a group of U.S. based early career scientists, I would like to invite you to sign a letter we wrote to express our concern to NSF regarding the future of NSF funding for U.S. scientific ocean drilling and to show our support for this important program.

Over the past week, 113 people have signed the letter! We love to see the number growing. So, your help in spreading the word would be greatly appreciated. Our plan is to have the letter sent to NSF by July 1st, 2022. Once the letter is sent to NSF, it will be posted online at [US-SODA.org](http://US-SODA.org). Endorsers/signees can be anyone who is self-identified as Early Career Researchers/Scientists (we have some assistant professors already signed!); don’t have to be from the US. So, feel free to send this to your international colleagues. Also, they don’t have to be in academia either (we have research scientists in the private sector/government agency already signed too).

Here is the map of endorsers as of now.

If you support this effort, please sign the letter by following the link below. We also appreciate your help spreading the word by forwarding this email to your colleagues. Any early career scientist/engineer/educator may sign the letter, whether they are U.S. based or not.

You may find the letter by following this Google form link:
