Learning Python is immensely satisfying, but it can take time, especially if you are new to programming in general. For our latest PaleoHackathon (March 9-11 2022), @khider and myself put together a series of tutorials to learn the basics of the scientific Python ecosystem. This should help users getting started with Pyleoclim learn the packages that the letter is built upon, and therefore use it more powerfully.
Big ups to the EarthCube Technology and Architecture Committee (particularly Socorro Dominguez) and Project Pythia for setting up these resources and framework. Use them at your own pace, and don’t be afraid to run through it a few times until you’re ready to graduate to Pyleoclim itself!
